Highlights
Severe storms across the country cut into chain-store sales, according to ICSC-Goldman whose same-store tally came in at a year-on-year plus 1.4 percent for the lowest rate since January last year. The report notes that 2.5 million people were without power late in the June 30 week. Despite the weakness, week-to-week results show a 0.2 percent gain. For the full month of June, the report sees year-on-year growth at a very thin 1 to 1.5 percent. Redbook is up next at 8:55 a.m. ET.
