The Monster employment index fell back to 114 in July vs. 117 in June. The year-on-year rate of decline at 27.4 percent is the smallest since February. Jobless claims will be posted at 8:30 ET with the all important monthly jobs report on Friday.

Definition
The Monster Employment Index is a comprehensive monthly analysis of U.S. online job demand. It is conducted by Monster Worldwide, Inc. and is based on a real-time review of a large, representative selection of career sites and job boards, including Monster," according to Monster Worldwide.
