Highlights
ICSC-Goldman reports in-trend same-store sales in the Aug. 22 week, at a minus 0.2 percent year-on-year rate that is far above the minus 4.0 to minus 5.0 percent trend reported for the last three months by Redbook. But it's the reports' trend that's important for a handle on sales and there's no change for ICSC-Goldman which continues to bounce around on a flat plane. The report said warmer temperatures moved air conditioners to the benefit of discounters. It sees a very steep 3 to 4 percent drop for August sales relative to July. Redbook is up at 8:55 ET.
